Which cloud servers are free forever in 2026?
Short answer: only two are truly free forever — Oracle Cloud (Arm 2 OCPU / 12 GB + 10 TB/month traffic) and Google Cloud (one e2-micro). AWS and Azure give time-limited credits. All four require a credit card to verify your identity. No card? The small free VPS hosts below need no card or ID, but you must renew them regularly — good for practice.

Free servers are not very stable, slots are limited, and they can be reclaimed or deleted at any time. Do not keep important data on them, and keep your own backups. For a real website or long-running project, use a cheap paid server.

Chinese clouds' new-user prices are close to free: Alibaba Cloud ¥38/year flash sale (≈$5) or Baidu AI Cloud 2 vCPU / 4 GB at ¥39/year, payable with Alipay (Chinese real-name verification usually required). Alibaba Cloud
FAQ
Why can't I create an Oracle free instance?
Free Arm capacity often runs out in popular regions; try another region or retry later. Account review is also strict.
Can I host a website on a free server?
Yes. Google's e2-micro has 1 GB RAM, fine for a light blog; Oracle's 12 GB Arm can run much more.
Could I suddenly be charged?
Usage beyond the free tier is billed. Set a budget alert and delete resources you don't use.
Can I get a free VPS without a credit card?
Yes. Vyce (GitHub login), Woiden (Telegram), Openworld and ASCS need no card or ID, but they are small and need regular renewal — fine for practice and testing only.
Is there anything free forever in China?
No major Chinese cloud offers a free-forever server today — only cheap new-user deals and short trials.
